Having your iPhone hopefully I look super high quality to you because I look super high quality to me and now I'm basically recording at 1080p um because I've upgraded my Mac and my iPhone to be on the new iOS which means I can use my my phone as a webcam and the reason why I don't have a webcam on my laptop is because this is a massive screen in front of me and my laptop is closed um to make room because I'm on a a.

Now I look way worse than you but my little laptop I think it's like 720P more than 124. which is pretty decent anyway to be honest like 720p is like fine especially for the scale and size of typically uh watching stuff obviously if we watched us on TV then maybe I'll be like wrinkles and all whereas you'll be just uh this soft smooth for your face yeah so today is another day of snow as you can see outside uh coming in from the.

Any today hot take I try not to wear the gray hoodie this time yeah hot take I am wearing the same black T-shirt but it has a different logo so yesterday's black T-shirt had a heel logo today's black T-shirt has a Rylan Consulting logo so my hot take no actually let's start with your heart take give me give me a heart take all right you sent a lot of links in yesterday into our slack Channel about AI so maybe our hot take.

You can type in more detail for more imaging so you might write like draw a rainbow and it'll be a picture of rainbow and then you have to maybe it's not the rainbow exactly what you wanted because there's an element of communication so you might be like draw a rainbow with clouds just to get more clarity but there's also elements of the brainstorming side of things I like how it looks like you're half smiling as I'm winging this no no I'm I'm liking it.

Anyway but let's pretend that I have Tom Ryan in the near piece more when you're not looking at me on the screen I'm peering to uh to um intensely into your eyes might be like how do I um what tweet should I send about my business and then it'll be basically give you 10 suggestions of what tweets you should suggest um obviously the more information the better I spotted a link today oh that quite Works quite well uh or a link last.

On top of it and it literally sounded like a Drake song rapping about beans I think it was was the topic and it's just yeah I think I guess there's two-fold conversation there's the it's interesting how it is massively helpful it's like learning about the TV for the first time or the internet it feels like we're at that cusp on one element but equally because it's instead of a platform for people to connect like the internet or TV it feels like it's half taking over.

It gives 10 ideas I need to do a decision and still build that idea to actually do it but in one more sense it's sort of half pulled away the fun of that element obviously I could go away and not type ideas into an AI machine but I guess yeah for those that don't like white pages and dealing with that is perfect because it kicks them on and gets them running but for those that are let's say write content that now the AI machine.

To kick on and then obviously all these sort of automation um ai's websites that feels like it's becoming bigger and bigger and I know it's a little garyvee was speaking about it this week up on one of his social medias to say it's worth learning about it's like the first time you learn about Facebook it's like get on it now basically yeah that was a great summary so to add to that a couple months back there was something called stable diffusion which.

With illustrations we're always wanting to you know fill a presentation with photos or a um yeah a website or whatever a live stream version or like a share screen version of ask the AI what we should talk about and then talk about it and then go into depths with that because I guess like a walk through might be quite half interesting yeah that would be fascinating let's if if this lets me if this has not kicked me out and I can log into chat AI right.

And I can still hear you so chat AI um sorry chat on openai.com you can type this prompt in and this prompt uh can be anything so um I'm starting so again Danny is sharing his screen so move over to YouTube or Spotify now apparently your computer on Spotify oh yeah yeah so in Spotify you'll be able to watch it so so basically I've typed in yeah I've typed in um I'm starting a podcast what should I talk about so.

Generic but so maybe I can be like so if you go what current events can we talk about now so let's say we dive into what it said reusing the words that it's used now it's not fully up to date with current events but what current events can I discuss on my podcast maybe let's let me answer that they'll basically say sorry I'm not connected to the news yeah it won't have any access to current event information because it's only up till 2021 but some.

The benefits exactly now I've used it basically as the future Google so I don't go to Google anymore I just ask this chat AI questions so obviously the benefit of doing this is there's an increased efficiency like it's typing out here there's improved decision making because AI can analyze vast amount of data much more quickly and more accurately and it's an enhanced experience um which is basically watching this might have thought that that is your answer I just like riff those off my.

Times right that you can go to so it predominantly is a a Google on steroids but it's far better than that because you can give it a problem and it'll solve it like Google can't solve a problem for you Google will just you know run off the keywords that you do so for me I think the future of SEO right the future of search engine optimization will be working with whoever's generated this model off the trained data you will.

Yeah so I'm going to switch to this right so this is the um so we've just shown you the text version right now this is stable diffusion so if I type in um let's be prompt imagine okay so um I was thinking this week about a um there's a building that's down the road in column Bay um our hometown called The Pavilions this Pub that's closed and the pub basically um has been shut for a bit now and it's.

Have comedy nights and stuff and I was thinking a couple of names uh that would be quite funny to go alongside that right so one of my name ideas was around like Colin Bay they're famous for I think the Columbia area is famous for seagulls well not famous for seagulls but they're known for seagulls right because aren't they call on the team called seagulls it's got a seagull badge I don't know if they're called seagulls I'm assuming they would I think they're I think their.

Seagull holding a golf club 4K realistic is just like some basic keywords and I think the future is going to be that people will become prompt designers so this is a prompt and you can see I might be able to zoom in but I'm gonna zoom in okay not not very well and it's not holding a golf club so you can tell sometimes it can't deal with two objects at the same time but this is a like computer vision generating these images.

Seagull is a golf club on this one down here it seems on that image yeah let me it re it resends it so basically it's generated running ones now you can tell that that is kind of a look like golf clubs weird yeah so okay cool we're not going to be able to use any of these as our logos but if you take this this technology which is descriptions or prompts being then fed into something that generates images and.

Also see that lots of people are creating avatars or like profile images based off these kind of like keywords and stuff that they're putting in um so yeah this is definitely it's funny people thought that creatives were safe and people thought creativity will be the last thing that AI like attacks or comes for but actually it's been one of the first things that it comes for and it's done it incredibly well now it's not going to mean that you don't have to.

Income from and I typed into the chat AI thing to be like what tools do music independent music artists use and it gave me a list of four different tools that use and I was like okay cool this third one I forgot about it I think it was um banned campus not band camp I've forgotten the name of IT band town or band something anyway let's call it band camp for now because that's that that is a tool.

Whatever and like whatever topic was and it would pull up stuff um and I find that that's sometimes just a little bit better than a Google search because Google search will be able to do similar things as in like here are some Bible verses that work but you'd have to look through 10 web pages to figure out and you you have to do a lot of the interpretation right of to be like oh that has this correctly answered my.

Like it it removes the barrier so if you don't again like I've said before if you don't have illustration skills uh what else can you use so you could be like okay I'm just going to draw black and white drawings myself or potentially you could use something like this you literally just as you saw I was literally just typing questions and typing in words naturally you get better at it so one person was using that chat AI to say hey.

To copywriting it doesn't mean the copywriters are going to disappear or writers are going to disappear as such but it's going to help people that don't have that ability to come up with their ideas quicker so for example I I would love to write a book but I don't feel like I have the ability to do it but if I could give it an idea or a concept hey write a book about two brothers starting a podcast they named it don't be a store.

Can feed it stuff so you could be like here are four examples of um podcast headings for example can you give us another idea so I have been working on like in trialling some of these tools sometimes it's good to come up with a project to build alongside testing a tool and I thought after watching all this politics stuff there was a TV series on Channel 4 about the alternative prime minister there was also a podcast which called the rest is.

Futureparty.ai and there's nothing much to it right now um which are genuinely AI generated policy recommendations uh based off of Old I trained it on um old manifestos of labor party conservative party pied camera and stuff just to see what it came up with it's not like so I trained like a custom model on it it's not that great because it doesn't I think I need to feed it more interesting ideas um because it kind of regurgitates some.

Are the top 10 policies that we're going to try and push for which I would which I think could be like a fascinating approach um so maybe at some point I will put more time into it to get it right and get it all singing and dancing and then once you've voted it you would then use that metric as a weight so for example free free School meals for kids if people upvote that more than you know free travel or.

To be creative and um try it out for yourself um similar with you know like we've discussed before the Industrial Revolution when engines turned up and it's like well hang in a minute I've been doing this manually what's going to happen to me well you just basically get retrained to be an engineer where rather than you know utilizing your own manual effort to you know excavate some coal from a rock You're Now using a machine to excavate coal from a rock obviously talking old.

Basically saying how life is a bit like a bell curve how you get like the early adapters at the start and then you get the mainstream and then you get the basically the people of Miss the whole Trend and then join in right at the end yeah and I definitely feel like it's the first time I felt like I'm probably on the earlier bit because I'm normally at the main bit or the low bit but it's like with this AI thing it's.

Topic I was listening to some guys on social media basically playing a two second clip of something on Spotify that was linked to Blink 182 and you had to guess what song it was this guy you can guess the song I think he was guessing it in between 0.8 and it's so fascinating how it's like on an AI point of view it's like creating stuff is super good but actually letting things Trend like a popular song that everyone grew up with.

Sort of the bottom of the pyramid might be all creating loads of stuff so at the top of the pyramid where everyone recognizes like the Friends theme tune or whatever might slowly like drip down of how would you keep on top of that the Animal Kingdom on top of yeah if AI does the sort of heavy lifting as we move forward that it might lift off a lot of people that get stuck with blank pages but actually it might pull down.

Google are working on something that was um Auto generating a video um of motions of things that it was describing and then as you describe it it would put it into the video and I think that would be beautiful for like people that want to make music videos right again I'm not afraid of any of this stuff I'm excited to just like utilize it um so you could create music videos with it you could create comic books with it.

Something that has not been automated so for example relationships if you're working in a creative agency and we were able to automate some of the functional things that we did um and maybe automate some of the creativity then that just means that you'll be chatting to them more and speaking to them more and engaging with them and kind of discussing their business strategy and you know allowing kind of like deeper conversations rather than just focusing on what you've been.

Offended that it can come up with better ideas I'm like how do I use it how do I use it um and it's important that in that I I find that many people will go through a journey of self-improvement and that can sometimes include your career Journey or your what you're doing and your self-improvement might be that okay I used to do this manually but now I've come up with this tool that I can do it with this tool instead and it can be.

Their creativity or their ability to be creative and then there's a bunch of people that like know it enables my creativity there's always going to be two camps and I think it's better to be in the one that's like not afraid of this stuff and utilizing it um collectively with other tools to be even more creative than what you were before and not be scared about it really so yeah fascinating it is very fascinating so one thing we've never done on this.

We'll probably be perhapsing the split so I'm kind of like oh we have an English wanglish Welsh yeah one episode that we were actually able to speak Welsh for the whole entire time because I think a lot of the time you know we just got to do something right it doesn't matter which way how but it's just something so maybe our next episode that we record you know may or may not be um next year yeah may or may not include.

Well oh yes but the trouble is we can't run them we can't like edit it in very well I I have no ability to like edit these things with inside Riverside properly but um but yeah yeah you'll have to just play it on your phone yeah yeah it's so funny yeah but maybe you'll be like the Christmas jingle episode where we try and create a jingle right in front of your view and see how that goes so yeah.
