Behind reality so it's more of like a delay so we're like hey the Olympics it's like it's not the Olympics it's way too late right so but the par Olympics are coming up and by the time this is out Chan the par Olympics will be in sh will be in full flow but yeah the gig in Newcastle went really well um I I think I may have told you it but I can't remember but the um one of the.

Uh with BBC introducing um which would be cool I think I'm playing in both but I'm not 100% sure but if I am playing then and they need a drum kit then I can finally use this drum kit that I bought and that I haven't used for a gig yet and we have a Kim otong front like bassum skin that I can use I found online that you know um uh obviously this is a skin so I can't pull it off.
And put it onto somebody else's drum kit but there's online you can have this like material that you hook behind somebody else's drum kit like on this skin I can't remember what they've like phrased like named it as but it allows you to just go to any gig and then like hook it on to anybody's uh kick bassum uh so I want to buy one of those as well so if it's our gigs where we're running a kit then it's fine but if it's not and.
It's somebody else's kit I'd like to go with a sign and it reminds me of um you know your mate up in Nottingham that did those um Clips where you have like signage of like who's playing I thought that was really really clever and I thought that was really really good so um it's kind of that but in a more substantial way behind a drum kit um make makes sense so long as there's not too many visual um kind of like things.
In the way and hope you can still see the kick if you can't see the kick there's no point right so um so that's one thing that get some merch get a cap or a t-shirt or something a bit more prob or like a 40 40 m long Banner to hang out the back or whatever it should be called or you get drumsticks one pink and one that Bluey color yeah yeah the aqua like teal thing that that wouldd be.
A good idea especially if they were lit up um another thing from the Newcastle gig I think it's probably been the the gig with the best lighting and uh visuals so they actually had a visuals guy doing like kind of like AI generated visuals but it wasn't it was him just running different videos of like uh shapes blending into each other or like spirals or like um like flashing Graphics of like robots or whatever I thought he did a really good job so I.
Went over to him like all of that stuff was awesome and he's like oh thanks man like I don't think people realize that you know like an atmosphere you just enjoy the atmosphere but you don't realize oh it was this guy that specifically put this part this person did this part and the lighting guy lighting was dope went over to him like the lighting stuff you did was really really good um a you musician he was like yeah I'm a drummer I'm like that.
Makes so much more sense because he was like rhythmically and like the pan and he really enjoyed doing the lights for our set because he could sense when things are going bigger or quieter and it had like lots of Dynamics rather than he was doing lighting for the previous band which just happened to be like a jazz um Jazz kind of like um how do I explain it like you know there's like jazz bands are a bit experimental and they go all over the.
Place there's there's no real uh sense of direction it's just too spontaneous to kind of like predict whereas in tracks you can kind of like sense when it's going to a chorus or sense when it's going to a bridge so it's much much easier to actually do lighting for rather than just having it consistently the same because you you can't sense where any of the musicians are necessarily going uh because it's so spontaneous and sporadic in some ways so.
Yeah the gig was really good but um yeah I I want to jump straight into it because I've got a few things and also I've just seen the alert that my uh phone is on 20% and I don't want to plug it in because then it will end up M glitch and then we'll be out of sync and then I'll be in trouble trying to syn as together all right let's get kicking hopefully 20% will be fine so don't be.

Benchmark for like just getting started um I watched another video this week about do you remember us talking about like a Content like what do they call it like um somewhere to go to just like absorb and like suck in a bunch of stuff by somebody um I can't remember what the phrase we used to use um but creating like a pool of content that if somebody has finally kind of found where do they go to just literally.
Absorb every yeah that's the word thanks like a binge like a binge dump of just stuff so we've got our binge catalog of you can go and watch 113 videos of Dan and Tom speaking with each other um to learn more about us to understand who we are to get a bit of a sense of our character um so yeah we're continually building our binge bucket as it yeah binge bucket sounds good our binge bucket so 100 videos of Dan and Tom's.
Binge bucket which I think is really exciting and it's a good achievement because this is it it's not necessarily about how good you are it's about whether or not you can keep going right and be good at improving yeah yeah take one thing and improve every video you then hopefully get better videos um so that's cool but on that I think we should do don't be a door stop TV channel literally we've got 50 odd videos haven't we of actual things I.
Think we should do a TV channel what you think is that just similar to your streaming in the sense that it's constantly going on CU I'm assuming you don't want us to buy out an episode on sky on 777 or something random yeah yeah this is the like late night advertising just me and you on a on a TV channel Samsung TVs have their own s Samsung like TV channels yeah one of which is greme Norton's show are you.
Familiar with gram Norton's like TV show that he does when he interviews a bunch of celebrities and his like USP is get celebrities to tell stories right so we start to get to know their characters he has his own channel on the Samsung like Network and it just plays back-to-back episodes I've then noticed that there are other things so Diary of a CEO Diary of a CEO also has its own channel where it plays back-to-back episodes and the.
Benefit of doing this is you can sell advertising space so what I didn't realize initially when I started watching the gra Norton one there would be this like minute and a half kind of like ticker where you just see different photos of celebrities with this like rhythmic drumming thing and I was like oh this is a bit weird I don't know why they're just jumping straight into it but then every now and again within that minute and a half it would start off.
With ads and I'm like oh this makes sense they've basically built a channel they have no adverts so they've got essentially a placeholder and then that placeholder is going to be filled with ads as they get booked out similar to Kevin Hart Kevin Hart has a TV show or a TV network called I think it's the LOL Network or L Network um he has like this ticking T Time Bomb kind of like in a minute and a half the laughs are going.
To continue and some of it is filled with ads and some of it isn't and interestingly he doesn't um he doesn't just do his own content he does a load of different people's content which I think is cool so he obviously created his own network to showcase his own content replays of his own content cuz he was actually on this um TV show called like Husbands of Hollywood which was like him acting himself and his friends acting acting themselves but.
With some like extra narratives and stuff I think that's really really cool so I'm like we've always spoken about twitch streamers having their own TV channels of like replays of their own streams we have our own episodes I've already done it like you know when I live stream I switch over to like in a meeting mode which shows replays but couldn't we just do a twitch Channel where we show literally loop loop videos of don't be a door stop and then I was.
Like how do we do that I have a bunch of raspby Pies sitting around so I have a raspberry piie here raspberry piie is a miniature computer which you can buy for like I'm not sure if it's less than 50 Quid um where it has a a small enough thing to plug in some USBS and it has internet connection it has Wi-Fi and stuff I'll show you what it looks like looks like this so it's like a little.
Memory board you can uh put in USBS and hdmis and so forth and um I was like if I put OBS OBS is the streaming application I put OBS on that I hook that up to the inter there and I could have that streaming it to a twitch Channel and then all I need to do is every now and again check that it's still live but then we could have literally our own don't be a doorstop TV channel that would be a loop of don't be.
A doorstop episodes that' be pretty simp how many um raspberry pies have you got I think I've got too I think I've got you have a TV channel for like Maine is in the long form and then side is in the short form for those that prefer Tik Tok elements and then it might encourage us to build a bit more content on that side yeah because you could potentially live stream have you started to see people live streaming vertical videos so.
There's a company out in Canada that live stream like trading where they're buying and selling stocks they have a stream that's like a a traditional like 16 by9 video stream with a load of extra Graphics of which is two people speaking and usually they buy and sell stuff so you can see what they bought what they're currently uh buying or holding or whatever um and they have like this iPhone version so they're streaming an iPhone version so you can watch it as a.
Vertical video on your phone so they've got like two different separate things so I'm like you could stream a vertical version of of the actual episodes as well as a nonvertical like a a traditional uh a horizontal or or a landscape um thing so that's going to be a little project yeah yeah like if I could come up with some way of triggering adverts because all I'd need to do is have it as a web page and the.
Web page like when it hits the end of a video like play something else and then once it hits the end of that like play another random video so yeah it could be that you could essentially build your own it makes me want to say like Pirate Radio type thing but it's not Pirate Radio it's like a real thing and then we could literally say we have our own internet TV channel it's hosted on Twitch I I think that' be pretty cool to.
Be honest because it's already quite cool that we've got oh yeah we we're in a podcast we've got over a 100 videos um we'll then be able to say oh we got over a 100 episodes but we already have three seasons don't we so um something like that yeah so yeah if you want to sponsor our um TV show sorry our TV channel it'll be on 24 hours a day where it's just playing videos of me and you I.
Think that' be quite cool like move over Jesus AI W doop has now got his own channel Jesus AI was uh streaming and probably still is streaming but um so I thought that was kind of cool and then we be like let's go to Every dentist and be like hey can you open up this twitch stream and play this video rather than watching BBC just like BC News just put our twitch stream there all the GPS around the world yeah GPS and s would.
Now be watching don't be a door stop videos are you ill and have no passion come speak to us yeah sofa I I thought like with everything that we're like picking up and seeing and seeing the graem Norton stuff and just makes absolute sense because you can you've now created a vehicle in which people can give you money because you know there's a bunch of people watching this TV show and they happen to like gra Norton so what else.
Can you align with things cross-pollinating have you seen the Cristiano Ronaldo's joined YouTube and like I have the internet's blown up with it I've not seen any of his videos but I saw somebody making a joke that Mr Beast is probably going to be worried now because Ronaldo's joined but has he he's basic he's basically got 15 million followers within like 24 hours or something ridiculous he's posted about 30 videos in a couple of days oh he had.
He basic had his bench bucket ready to go didn't he cleverly he's tapping into the market of him and his wife so like a Mr orive stuff so tapping into like a new market of people and then I'm assuming it'll be just interviews and stuff but then instantly people like um speed from America he then watched it on Twitter and was going crazy and he's like I want a collab I want a collab because at the end of the day Cristiano Ronaldo has.
Collabed with a lot of YouTubers but at the end of the day I guess the YouTubers take his content but now he's like I'm on the network [ __ ] like everyone will be coming to him you know what would be really cool is you know how they've done these like uh TV shows like um like football acmy or skill skill Academy things I think Christian Christiano Ronaldo could do something like that you know how they've done like a TV show.
Where Rooney is the like the guy that likes it what was that that was like a street skills kind of TV show wasn't it yeah like Cristiano Ronaldo could get a production company to do those for his YouTube channel where it's doing like skills and like the winner will win like an opportunity to join his like under 19s club that he's running or some like Academy he could have like a a major like funnel of being a sports agent for.
All these like young kids that are coming up in Cristiano Ronaldo becomes your sport agent so when you get bought or signed to a different club like he takes 10% be very clever way of like monetizing his funel of like young footballers that aspire to be somebody like him and he could like facilitate that and have a part in promoting those kids into football like like NFL right like NFL is a massive mechanism to get kids out of poverty or to get kids into.
A into a place where they have more opportunities so um could he do the same for football and make a Grassroots type thing or like a TV show where we follow the people around and start to learn about these kids that have come from XY Z countries um that that would be really cool I think that would be a really good move a really good move so it on the football stuff it will be interesting just seeing how he.
Replicates things because I guess he'll have his own feel to stuff but the fact that he'll have a team of people probably telling him what to do I'd be intrigued to know if it's like if he's got a manager or if he's got like a YouTube expert is it just creating generic content that they he's seen and he likes or is it just someone that's control it it would be quite fascinating on that side but I guess once you got.
Youtube it'll be quite intriguing to be like will you get those types of insights about especially because he speak speaks um obviously he's bilingual right well he might be more than bilingual but he speaks Portuguese and English so he could probably do Portuguese videos obviously the Portuguese audience might not be as big however if he did predominantly Portuguese videos with English subtitles or then he got somebody to dub them in English then that would be like a way.
For him to promote Portugal as a country as well he can he can he was on one of the videos because I was looking at it I don't know if he's speaking Portuguese because I know he can speak Spanish as well he's either speaking Portuguese or Spanish whatever he speaks to with his kids and family um and there's just English subtitles along the bottom yeah people will watch that people will bother to watch that and then what what.
YouTube I think should do at some point is like have you know how they've uh dubbed Netflix TV shows when they're in different languages you can switch to a different audio track which is basically people speaking English but like the English rather than just like reading out English I think that would be a great function or feature for YouTube to add so then you could watch all of his videos and have somebody like dubbed in English over them like Mr.
Beast gets some like super super famous Japanese voiceover artist right to dub his videos um by switching the channel but if they did that with like AI or whatever that' be kind of cool rather than having to actually upload the additional soundtrack um to do as well yeah so so that would be quite intriguing to see where that goes cuz I think he already got one of those like gold things once you've hit like a million oh plaques you like within like.
10 hours or something ridiculous he's like already recording himself collecting it from the door and stuff which I find funny oh that's good um another thing that I was watching this week is um I forgotten his name Peter levels gets interviewed by this american guy the American guy is always in a suit and really really drab and says we're about to have an interview by this thing I can't remember that guy's name though do you know who I'm talking about he's.
Always in a suit white American guy no uh some frean Lex Freeman can't remember it's always the way when you go live you just forget everybody Peter levels is being interviewed by this guy and uh Peter levels is like being asked about ideas now if you don't know who Peter levels is he's an entrepreneur he's a a like a business kind of like Savvy dude that creates a bunch of startups by himself because he's a coder and a.
Designer so he's coded and designed probably 40 different startups and running them and they're they're creating monthly um income he's done stuff around like nomading which is essentially traveling abroad and working abroad um all the way to AI photos of um of Landscapes of living rooms of like photos of people for like profile images um so he's built a load of internet tools and I I really like him the way that his like methodology to stuff and one of the questions was like um how.
How'd you get started or like what's your advice for young people and he was like just get started just if you don't know how to do something just Google how to do it and I think it's um one of the things I I I don't think people realize sometimes that there isn't necessarily a blueprint of this is how you're going to do it it's more so like just start simle to Mr Beast says just start doing videos you'll work out the details he would say.
Just start doing stuff start creating things and ultimately what that is is like how do you come up with an idea you essentially come up with an idea by addressing problems so if you wrote down your whole like day or whatever and you asked Chachi BT to be like of my day what can be like what are the typical problems that come with this type of approach or maybe you already know the problems right like one problem that I.
Had yesterday is like I'm starting to get my Gmail account is starting to get Fuller and Fuller and I'm I'm probably about like eight gig out of 15 gig and if I hit the 15 gig I'm going to start to pay more and there's this whole world of people just incrementally sizing up their spaces and if it's like $2.99 or if it's $7.99 you're going to pay that indefinitely because you can't scale down your size that easily so can I have.
Something to go through my Gmail account and like evaporate all those old emails now I found a couple of tools but they do stuff in a weird way so one is like newsletter Centric so like here are all the newsletters you want to unsubscribe and you want to delete all the emails and then there's another one which like here are all the emails and it catalogs them and it's actually much better as a tool but even if somebody was able to.
Just create a very very simple tool that found all the emails and if you press one button and it just deletes them all like that would be because that's a problem that I have and I would love something s now that tool does exist one of the tools you pay 8 pound um and above but I found that tool wasn't great because you can't just delete emails you have to unsubscribe so it only works if the newsletter orientated which doesn't.
Make sense the second tool is a free tool um and you can delete masses of emails which I thought was was great so I was like cool I won't get distracted and build my own version but how' you come up with an idea just look for problems and problems that you experience essentially yeah yeah that makes sense I think going back to the get started and all that stuff I noticed I think I've already mentioned about this video but I spotted.
It today and it was about this guy hanging out with you see the like millionaires or billionaire basically just rich people and he realized a lot of them aren't the most intelligent but that's what made them work because instead of overthinking about something and planning something and taking time and taking three months to take a product to Market they would just do something they'll do something if it doesn't work they'll just do something different if it does work great if it.
Doesn't work do something different and it's that just constant to some extent like running up against the wall and just hoping that you break through it at some point rather than overanalyzing things and reviewing things and all that stuff is just putting it into action and then hopefully you've learned stuff and then you take it to the next thing which I think is very just yeah um basic information but very helpful for those that have overthinkers I think that I agree I.
Think that's a blend of like not being plagued by past failures or too strong of us too strong of an assumption about something and really the phrase is small bets I I feel that like Peter levels is great at doing something small trying to get people to pay for it as soon as possible and that validates his idea enough to bother building it so he's always been doing stuff in a messy progress type of way we've said these.
Phrases before right not having the analysis paralysis messy progress not having like too many assumptions which mean you do something in a certain way and you're trying to validate you're trying to go from uh uncertainty to certainty as quick as possible um which I think is the way forward what one thing I've noticed recently is um obviously you you Tom personally know that I have a bunch of small bets but um our community might not know that we.
Have a bunch of small bets but I own google.com I own I also have created like a Google translate but only focused on Welsh translating to English and that has some traffic too and then I've created a Welsh Ai and I've updated the Welsh AI more recently to the new uh GPT 4 mini model and I've also got it streaming so it's bit better and I was like I don't have any like idea on what people are searching so I've put in ability to.
Track the searches so I can see some patterns I've done this before in the Google stuff um and there were some patterns around people searching mogon which is about um some old kind of like medev stories so I created a subsite for that but that really hasn't left like leapt off anyway and I was hoping that that would create some referral traffic for selling kind of like National Trust uh membership or something like that right so that really hasn't kicked off.
But um I started tracking them again and what I was thinking is because people search I essentially now own the Welsh Google ads you can't add advertise in Google ads in Welsh however I can so if you typed in uh let's say for example the word Ryland I know you're searching Ryland and therefore I could show you an ad now I don't have really enough traffic I probably have about like 2,000 OD uh views a month on the site but this.
Specific search is zero right because people aren't searching that however is there something is there enough patterns to be able to Target certain keywords to advertise to it so I I would say if I had more volume I think I could essentially build the Welsh version of Google ads reasonably simple and just like charge people a small amount but um it would just take time to to do that yeah that's one of my small all you have to do is create a Walsh.
Ad and Link it to a company that you believe in that is affiliate and you're doing the thing that you're doing with octopus yes yeah so then people click on it and then you get a percentage or whatever that's probably the most simplest way short short form to get to that route yeah did I tell you that I had another person um do that so I've now actually had two like two all the way through referrals on octopus which.
Is a total of 100 00 off my electric bill which is kind of cool so overall how many people have requested the Cod used the code and then how many people have so so for everyone listening you have published an app on iOS only yeah and there's about 10,000 12,000 downloads within a year just something like that yeah you noticed actually like half of it is Italy so we need to create the Italian sort of you need to be selling.
Something in Italian this is it this is why you have the small bets you don't know where the traffic is going to come from if we have it translated in Italian probably loads of people like that you know so then now you have like a referral link thing so how many people how do you know if someone's copied it whatever and then what's the whole process to go through so to caveat um you will only use it if you don't have.
An octopus account so if you need an octopus account so I also have added it to my google.com R so all in all I've had three people use it and two people have gone all the way through the process and paid their first bill on octopus meaning for those two people I get 50 Quid each so I've a I've had A1 pound back into my and account I think they get50 don't they correct now what be really interesting well if I was able.
To like gamify this I could essentially get money from octopus because you can withdraw money out if you've added too much money in right so if I had some like consistent like let's say there was like 10 20 like signups happening every month or so I could then one leave some of that in to pay my electric bill but I could actually withdraw it out so it'd be a clever way to actually pull money out because usually you don't get the.
Money back out right because of it's because of a referral or whatever you'll just get some sort of discount and it's pretty like significant now if I did it for a business I'd get1 pounds for a business so is there some way of um advertising or like striking that up now to me chances are people have done like a if you did chances are this doesn't happen because they've probably weeded it out but you could do a Google ad or a.
Facebook ad which is your octopus energy thing and you advertise octopus energy and be like sign up now and it's actually your referral link mhm like chances are that get like um that gets weeded out in the te and C's because you probably aren't allowed to use paid advertising to drive traffic towards your referral link or something maybe um but yeah it's it's one like game use the system until you get to off right monzo has that but I think they've cleverly.
Capped it at like you could only do it to five people I don't know if it resets every month or every year or whatever um but let's find out the hard way if uh octopus caps you at 100 or whatever yeah who knows that that that's a great thing to find out isn't it to some degree on that stuff so um an additional thing I saw this week one of the um like Tech guys that I follow that he does Vlogs.
He's bought a bunch of blueprint products now do you know what the blueprint is or where it links to is that ideas it is kind of an idea it's an idea not to die so do you remember Brian Johnson ages ago we chatted about him American guy using a bunch of Technology supplements um like rigorous diet training to reverse age himself have you do you remember me chatting about him I don't remember you chatting about him but I think I bumped into him randomly.
Recently again yeah so he spent millions of pounds perfecting this kind of like reverse aging on his organs his health his like his nails his hair his skin all this stuff he then has baked that into like a blueprint excuse me which is exactly what he eats um buys uses like consumes everything into this like written documentation and it's been like that for ages so if he wanted to do redo some of his meals you would be able to.
Do it but it would take a bit of time because you have to figure out what's what's in there and how to cook it well now he's gone one step further and he's now finally released his own products which align to the blueprint so okay he's selling um olive oil that's in this like glass uh like a wine uh glass uh sorry wine bottle that like protects UV UV rays from like changing the olive oil or whatever he's like buy one of these.
And he take some of this olive oil he's then got this like supplement type stuff um which you mix with some sort of milk or whatever and then he's got this other type of like food based one which you mix with uh water um and that is his blueprint so the blueprint is his like label for his product um and he's got a bunch of like merch now but I thought it was so clever because this was a natural.
Thing he spent all this money when is he going to recoup it to some degree in doing all this research to reverse age so he has successfully reverse aged um and that means when you measure organs or you measure certain things it should have like a typical like this is an organ of X age or whatever so um yeah so yeah he's he has successfully done it all out in the open and now he's selling the products and I was like you know.
I've been using the whole hu stuff I've been using the whole like planting meals I'm like I'll go and have a look to see if I can buy some just to see and try it out um and report back hopefully it's not that expensive um it will be expensive but maybe like a price per per meal might be small but on first glance I if I remember correctly I just saw it I think it's probably more expensive than like hu or or stuff like that but.
